- The Big Idea: Describe your learning topic for the game. What is the most important thing you want your players to learn?
My learning topic from my game is volcanic activity, I want my game to teach the audience or players that volcanoes play a big part of our planet.
- Research: What kind of research did you do? What did you learn about your topic?
I did some extensive research on these volcanoes. I learned that volcanoes erupt not to only destroy anything in it's path by its hot molten lava, but when it cools it creates beautiful rocks and new land for the environment.
- Making Decisions: How did your ideas change as you worked on your game?
My ideas change drastically when I figured out how the game will be played, by mouse movement. So I had to cut out some ideas and replace them with the requirements.
- Mastering Programming: What Game Ingredients and Help Center resources have been most useful to you so far, and why?
Well the links from the project page that lead to the "how to" pages, were extremely helpful. Especially when it comes to coding.
- Overcoming Challenges: Which part of making the game was most difficult for you? How did you overcome this difficulty? What features are you most proud of in your game?
The most difficult part was probably 'Add Object Behaviors' in my opinion, because having to delete your first code and replacing it with a simple one really kind of threw me off, following directions and asking for help from my teacher. Probably my character because I made him long ago and I wanted him to be in a game someday, and now he is! ^.^
